Job description

At PODS, we're looking for a finance leader who sees beyond the numbers and knows how to turn strategy into action.

As our Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you'll play a critical role in shaping our financial future. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll lead two equally important areas: enterprise financial planning and analysis, and execution oversight of our three-year Value Creation Plan.

We're looking for a hands‑on leader who's equally comfortable presenting to a Board, digging into a financial model, and working alongside business leaders to solve challenging problems. Someone who challenges assumptions, brings people together, and takes ownership of delivering results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead the financial strategy that moves our business forward.

You’ll oversee the financial planning processes that help our leaders make informed decisions and position PODS for long‑term success.

  • Lead enterprise budgeting, rolling forecasts, and three‑year financial planning
  • Deliver financial insights and analysis that help leaders understand performance, identify opportunities, and make better decisions
  • Develop financial models and business cases that inform investments, capital allocation, and business strategy
  • Prepare and present financial reporting and recommendations for our executive team, Board of Directors, and private equity sponsor
  • Partner with leaders across the business to evaluate pricing, profitability, operational performance, and growth opportunities

Turn our Value Creation Plan into measurable results.

You’ll lead the project management office (PMO) for our three‑year Value Creation Plan, bringing structure, accountability, and visibility to our most important business initiatives.

  • Partner with executive leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives with clear ownership, milestones, and financial targets
  • Establish the governance, reporting, and performance measures that keep initiatives on track
  • Identify risks, address roadblocks, and coordinate cross‑functional efforts to drive execution
  • Track and validate the financial impact of initiatives, ensuring measurable value is reflected in our financial plans and business performance
  • Help leaders prioritize resources and investments to maximize business impact

Build a strong team and smarter ways of working.

Working alongside our small, high‑impact FP&A team while personally driving complex financial analysis and strategic initiatives.

  • Coach and develop your team, strengthening financial expertise and business partnerships
  • Improve financial planning tools, reporting capabilities, and data consistency
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate reporting, and use technology and AI to work more effectively
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We're looking for an experienced finance leader who combines strong analytical capabilities with the ability to influence people and deliver results.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related finance function, including team leadership
  • Proven experience leading enterprise budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and management reporting
  • Demonstrated success leading large‑scale transformation or value creation initiatives with measurable financial results
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations
  • Experience partnering with and presenting to senior executives, Boards of Directors, or private equity sponsors
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to influence across teams without direct authority
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial planning platforms, and business intelligence tools
  • Practical experience using AI to improve analysis, reporting, and productivity, with sound judgment about accuracy and validation
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or comparable advanced qualification
  • Experience in a private equity‑backed organization, including direct interaction with equity sponsors
  • Experience managing a multi‑year value creation plan through a full hold‑period cycle, including financial tracking and benefit realization
  • Background in management consulting, corporate development, or business transformation
  • PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent program management certification
  • Experience in logistics, distribution, multi‑site operations, or another asset‑intensive business
  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI, automation, or technology‑driven transformation initiatives
WHY PODS?

At PODS, our business is built around helping people and businesses navigate change. Behind that experience is a team committed to finding better ways to serve customers, strengthen our operations, and grow.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the enterprise level. You’ll work directly with our CFO and executive leadership team, influence decisions that shape our future, and play a central role in driving business performance.
