Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Chicago is seeking a Vice President for the Commercial & Investment Bank Controls team to shape how we identify, govern, and manage risk from a complex third-party ecosystem.

You will translate assessments into actionable narratives, support risk acceptance, and coordinate with Controls, Technology, Procurement, Legal, Compliance and business stakeholders to maintain a strong risk posture.

Qualifications

• Experience in control management within financial services with emphasis on compliance and operational risk.
• Ability to summarize assessment results into executive-ready updates with key themes and actions.
• Ability to translate technical risk topics into business-friendly language and practical mitigations.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills for governance materials.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze third-party risk information for business and F&BM partners.
• Produce executive governance updates and materials for CIB controls and third-party risk forums.
• Support lifecycle reporting with risk statements, materiality thresholds, and issue categorization.
• Perform quality checks on risk assessments and coordinate updates with partner teams.
• Identify recurring themes and emerging risks across vendor portfolio and elevate items.
• Create residual risk summaries and remediation options for risk acceptance discussions.
• Review business cases for new or expanded vendor engagements and identify opportunities.
• Maintain tracking for KRIs/KPIs, thresholds, and trend summaries; contribute dashboards.
• Track third-party control issues through testing, monitoring, and closure with evidence.
