Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President in New York to join the Wealth Management Conduct, Controls & Governance team. The role focuses on designing and implementing supervisory controls across the firm’s risk framework, including enhancements and AI-driven solutions.

The candidate will work with senior leaders to assess controls, prioritize initiatives, and coordinate with Technology, Legal, Compliance and WM Risk to ensure strong controls and effective governance across businesses.

Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in Risk Management, Legal, Compliance or other roles in the broker-dealer or financial services industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and business judgment.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead discussions with senior participants.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Dataiku and Tableau.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Series 7, 66 (or 63 & 65), and 24 (or 9 and 10) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior leaders to enhance WM CCG's supervisory control framework.
  • Assess existing controls and identify enhancements to controls, including AI solutions where appropriate.
  • Prioritize and implement control enhancement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Technology, Platforms, Legal, Compliance and WM Risk to design and implement enhancements.
