Job summary

Guggenheim Investments seeks a Structured Credit Analyst to maintain market coverage, analyze securities and portfolios, and source investments across ABS, CLO, RMBS, and CMBS. The role involves aggregating market information for credit sector teams and senior professionals at the Santa Monica office.

The candidate will evaluate complex investments, generate credit views, and present ideas to portfolio managers, while developing cashflow models and surveillance processes.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of research, analysis, or structuring in credit fixed income.
• Strong credit, finance, economic, business and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of specialized and complex investments using governing documents, research, financial reports, news, ratings, and market information.
• Generate credit views, trade ideas and research summaries; perform total return, OAS, and scenario analysis with standard tools.
• Present trade ideas and credit views to sector teams and PMs; prepare client presentation materials on market developments and views.
• Develop and maintain cashflow and financial models for complex investments; QC models for on-the-run investments; maintain deal comps and credit statistics.
• Participate in meetings with dealers and industry experts for market background and deal research.
• Direct and QC monthly/quarterly surveillance processes.
• Ensure completeness of investment analysis per firm standards.
• Review prospective portfolio acquisitions; conduct ad hoc analyses for PMs, management, clients, and desk inquiries.
