Job description

About the Role

Range Music is seeking a Vice President, Streaming and Commercial Partnerships to lead our streaming strategy and commercial relationships across both our Artist Management division and Record Label.

This executive will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive streaming consumption, audience growth, revenue, and market share across our roster of artists and releases. The VP will own senior-level relationships with key digital service providers (DSPs), technology platforms, and other strategic digital partners while working closely with Range's managers, label executives, artists, and their teams.

Operating at the intersection of music, data, marketing, technology, and artist development, this role will help shape how Range's artists and repertoire are positioned, marketed, and monetized across the global streaming ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven commercial leader and exceptional relationship builder with deep knowledge of streaming platforms, artist development, and the evolving music business.

How You’ll CREATE
Partner Strategy & Growth
  • Own and lead Range Music's strategy across priority DSPs and partners, with responsibility for driving streaming growth, revenue, audience development, and market share.
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, and other emerging DSP and technology partners.
  • Serve as a central point of connectivity between streaming partners and Range's Artist Management and Record Label divisions, ensuring priorities and opportunities are communicated and activated across both businesses.
  • Work directly with artist managers and label teams to develop customized streaming strategies around releases, catalog, touring, audience development, and key career moments.
  • Pitch and position new releases, catalog campaigns, and artist initiatives to secure meaningful editorial, playlisting, merchandising, marketing, and promotional opportunities.
  • Identify and execute new revenue opportunities, strategic partnerships, advertising initiatives, platform programs, and emerging monetization models.
  • Develop innovative go-to-market strategies designed to maximize visibility, consumption, fan engagement, and long-term artist development.
  • Identify emerging platforms, technologies, consumer behaviors, and partnership opportunities that can create competitive advantages for Range and its artists.
Artist Management & Label Strategy
  • Serve as a strategic streaming resource to Range's artist managers, helping develop platform-specific strategies tailored to individual artist goals and career stages.
  • Partner with the Record Label team to develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies around singles, albums, catalog, and priority campaigns.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop strategies that connect streaming, social platforms, touring, content, marketing, and fan development rather than treating platforms as isolated channels.
  • Identify opportunities across the broader Range roster where relationships, data, campaigns, and platform partnerships can be leveraged at scale.
  • Ensure management and label priorities are effectively represented to DSPs while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with platform partners.
  • Help artists and their teams understand the evolving streaming landscape and translate platform developments into actionable strategies.
Data, Insights & Performance
  • Leverage streaming analytics, audience intelligence, consumer insights, and market data to inform commercial and artist-development decisions.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs across artists, releases and campaigns.
  • Analyze streaming velocity, audience behavior, playlist performance, conversion, market share, and other key indicators to identify growth opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for managers, label executives, artists, and senior leadership.
  • Develop regular reporting and executive-level insights covering streaming trends, release performance, audience growth, and partner activity.
  • Analyze campaign and release performance to identify learnings and continuously improve strategy.
  • Build frameworks that allow Range teams to benchmark performance and identify opportunities across the broader roster.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as a strategic advisor to Range leadership, artist managers, label teams, and artists on streaming strategy, audience development and emerging industry trends.
  • Collaborate closely with artist management, label, marketing, digital, analytics, operations, touring, and business teams to align priorities and execution.
  • Lead business reviews and strategic presentations with DSPs and other external partners.
  • Represent Range Music in senior-level meetings with streaming platforms and strategic partners.
  • Communicate important partner developments, platform changes, new products, and commercial opportunities throughout the organization.
  • Develop best practices and educational resources that strengthen streaming capabilities across Range Music.
  • Help foster collaboration between the Artist Management and Record Label divisions while recognizing the unique strategies and objectives of each artist and project.
Commercial Innovation & Emerging Opportunities
  • Monitor emerging technologies, platforms, products, and consumer behaviors that may impact artists and the music business.
  • Evaluate new commercial models and partnerships across the streaming, direct-to-fan, technology, and other emerging channels.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that extend beyond traditional DSP relationships when they can meaningfully grow artist audiences or revenue.
  • Work with leadership to evaluate the commercial potential and strategic implications of new digital products and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Range's collective roster and market position to create differentiated partnerships with platforms.
Operations & Execution
  • Partner with label operations and distribution teams to ensure seamless content delivery, metadata accuracy, and release execution across digital streaming platforms.
  • Troubleshoot platform, content, reporting, and operational issues when necessary to protect priority releases and artist initiatives.
  • Develop scalable processes and workflows that improve communication and execution between Range teams and digital streaming partners.
  • Establish best practices for DSP pitching, campaign planning, reporting, release strategy, and partner communication.
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming releases and major artist moments to ensure Range is proactively engaging partners well in advance.
