Job summary

VSC Fire & Security, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a VP / Sprinkler Division Manager to lead the sprinkler division. You will manage costs, profitability, and staffing, while negotiating with vendors and coordinating with clients to ensure project success.

The role requires strong leadership, budget oversight, and a solid understanding of fire protection industry codes. A degree in business or related field is preferred, and mobility for client visits is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in management, P&L, budgeting, scheduling and contract negotiation.
• Strong conflict resolution, organizational and analytical skills are required.
• Industry-related management experience or related field preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers professionally.
• Knowledge of building code requirements for fire protection industry.
• Experience negotiating pricing with local vendors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and job specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• NICET III or IV preferred.
• Mobility for in-person client visits; able to access confined spaces and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor job costs and profitability of contracted work.
• Monitor activity, productivity, and accuracy of supervisors and employees.
• Provide in-service training and support staff certifications.
• Evaluate progress of direct reports for growth and goal achievement.
• Enforce standard operating procedures and address workplace conduct issues.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve scope disagreements with tact and integrity.
• Visit customer sites to check progress and fulfill contractual commitments.
• Train, coach and develop employees.
• Maintain relationships with current clients and promote additional services.
• Assist in preparing proposals and estimates with sales executives.
• Ensure safety standards are followed on site.
