The VP Solutions Architect role is responsible for shaping and delivering strategic initiatives across the FTS Product Management team, translating business objectives, partner needs, regulatory considerations, and product priorities into structured, executable solutions within The Bancorp's regulated environment. This role combines product management insight, analytical discipline, project leadership, and change management to align stakeholders, clarify requirements, and move complex initiatives from concept through implementation.

Working closely with Product Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, Sales, and partner-facing teams, this position establishes direction, strengthens governance, and supports scalable product and program delivery. The VP Solutions Architect drives accountability, documentation, and decision-making practices that enable effective execution, risk awareness, and partner-focused outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Solution Design and Product Alignment
    • Translates strategic priorities, business needs, and partner objectives into actionable product requirements, internal deliverables, and implementation plans.
    • Designs practical, scalable solutions that support product management priorities, strategic initiatives, process improvements, and partner program needs.
    • Evaluates initiative scope, business impact, operational dependencies, risk considerations, and implementation complexity to support informed decision-making.
    • Partners with Product Management leadership to advance the strategic agenda and align initiatives with organizational priorities.
  2. Initiative Execution and Cross-Functional Delivery
    • Leads and coordinates strategic initiatives across Product Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, and other stakeholder groups.
    • Develops project plans, timelines, action items, and dependency tracking to support timely delivery of key initiatives.
    • Tracks decisions, risks, issues, and deliverables to ensure accountability, transparency, and effective execution across multiple workstreams.
    • Facilitates meetings, working sessions, and status updates to maintain momentum, resolve obstacles, and drive decisions.
  3. Stakeholder Alignment and Change Enablement
    • Builds alignment among cross-functional stakeholders by clarifying objectives, roles, requirements, timelines, and decision points.
    • Influences team members and business partners to support strategic priorities, adopt new processes, and execute against shared goals.
    • Communicates complex concepts clearly to senior leaders, product teams, operational stakeholders, and partner-facing teams.
    • Supports organizational change by identifying adoption needs, coordinating implementation activities, and reinforcing consistent execution practices.
  4. Governance, Risk, and Compliance Coordination
    • Guides initiatives through internal governance and approval processes in coordination with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology stakeholders.
    • Ensures solutions align with approved product structures, internal frameworks, policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
    • Identifies risks, control considerations, and operational impacts early in the initiative lifecycle and drives timely escalation or resolution.
    • Supports audits, exams, and regulatory inquiries by gathering documentation, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely follow-through.
  5. Product Lifecycle, Documentation, and Continuous Improvement
    • Supports new product, product enhancement, and strategic initiative execution from concept through implementation and post-launch optimization.
    • Evaluates change requests, documents business and operational impacts, and guides changes through governance and implementation processes.
    • Monitors initiative outcomes, stakeholder feedback, and execution effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Recommends enhancements to product management practices, workflows, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
    • Develops and maintains product documentation, requirements, governance materials, approval artifacts, and implementation records.
    • Maintains centralized documentation and knowledge repositories within SharePoint to support transparency, consistency, and audit readiness.
    • Creates clear materials that help stakeholders understand initiative scope, decisions, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience.
    • 8 years of experience in financial services, fintech, banking products, product management, strategic initiatives, or related business functions.
    • 5 years of product management, project management, program management, or solutions delivery experience in a financial services environment.
    • Experience supporting strategic initiatives, product launches, product enhancements, or partner program execution in a regulated environment.
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, dependency management, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder communication.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence organizational change, align cross-functional teams, and drive execution against a strategic agenda.
    • Working knowledge of bank risk management frameworks and cross-functional stakeholder roles, including Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology.
    • Solid understanding of product development lifecycles, governance processes, implementation practices, and operational controls.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical, actionable solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage audiences at all levels and present complex topics clearly.
    • Ability to operate independently in a self-managed team environment while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.
    • Occasional travel required.
    • Demonstrates strong motivation, accountability and resilience in pursuing goals, delivering high-quality results and continuously improving performance.
    • Demonstrates the ability and willingness to learn and use approved artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity, decision-making and work quality, while keeping use compliant with company policies.

    • Documentation, approval artifacts, and SharePoint repositories remain current, accessible, and audit-ready.
    • Audits, exams, and regulatory inquiries are supported with accurate documentation, coordinated responses, and timely follow-through.
    • Product management workflows, governance practices, and implementation processes improve through stakeholder feedback, post-launch learning, and consistent execution standards.
