Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with Barclays, seeks a Solution Architect - VP to shape front-office and Markets technology solutions for Sales workflows and onboarding. The role drives modern architecture, AI-enabled patterns, and scalable microservices in a high-impact environment.

You will influence front-office strategy, guide migration from legacy platforms, and ensure secure, observable, and cost-effective delivery across cloud-native stacks.

Qualifications

• Design front-office or Markets tech solutions for Sales workflows.
• Understand lifecycle states, maker-checker, SLA, and monitoring.
• Modernize legacy platforms with reusable services and clear migration paths.
• Explain architecture with diagrams and POC findings.
• Hands-on Java, REST, event-driven cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable solutions to complex business problems.
• Define cloud-based workload placement and elasticity strategies.
• Incorporate security and resiliency in architecture.
• Balance risk and controls to deliver value.
• Produce governance artefacts for architecture, privacy, and records.
