Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) strongly preferred; MBA or business training is a plus.
• 15+ years of experience in biotech/pharma or related disciplines with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Significant experience evaluating external innovation across discovery and clinical-stage programs.
• Deep understanding of oncology drug development and translational science.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing teams and develop leaders.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for external innovation and lead Search & Evaluation to align with portfolio priorities.
• Oversee end-to-end diligence, integrating scientific, clinical, commercial, and strategic perspectives.
• Build and manage a scalable external innovation program and governance framework.
• Lead cross-functional diligence efforts and communicate clear executive recommendations.
• Develop relationships with biotech, academia, and industry to source high-value opportunities.
