Job summary

Irvine Company Retail Properties (a division of Irvine Company) seeks a Vice President, Facilities Management to lead retail portfolio operations, manage capital expenditures, and drive asset value through renovations, sustainability efforts, and cross-functional partnerships. Candidates should have 15+ years in Facilities Management, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and a California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive Facilities Management experience, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
• Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the annual business plan and forecast, strategically managing Capital and (non)reimbursable expenditures to maximize value and ensure timely execution.
• Develop and implement retail portfolio cost-containment and gross-margin measures with Retail Properties and other Irvine Company divisions, such as bulk buying, multi-vendor contracts, and preferred customer rates.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards, including the ADA/Title 24, water quality management, hazardous materials, asbestos, dry cleaning plants, and service stations, and execute short- and long-term objectives to eliminate site contamination across the portfolio.
• Partner with Leasing, Tenant Coordination, Development, and Operations to design and execute programs that accelerate lease-ups and expedite unit readiness.
• Direct property renovations to enhance customer experience, drive tenant sales, accelerate leasing, and optimize operational efficiency, partnering with Development on common area planning and design.
• Lead sustainability initiatives across retail centers and oversee the Contract Administration department to ensure rigorous policy compliance, accurate recordkeeping, and effective operational tracking.
