Job summary

McKissack & McKissack is seeking a Vice President, Project Delivery Excellence to lead the firm’s delivery standards and programs from a Washington, DC base. This executive role emphasizes governance, quality, and scalable processes across regions with remote options.

The VP will partner with senior leaders to implement PM best practices, improve visibility and risk management, and support growth through a standardized, measured delivery approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Program Management, or Project Controls.
• 10+ years in PM/CM, Owner's Representative, Engineering, Construction, or Program Management consulting.
• Leadership of large and complex PM/CM projects and programs.
• Knowledge of project governance, quality management, project controls, risk management, and PMIS.
• Experience developing project procedures, standards, and operational frameworks.
• Strong facilitation, training, and leadership skills.
• PMP or CCM certification.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project delivery framework, procedures, templates, and governance standards.
• Ensure delivery practices align with PMP, CCM, and industry best practices.
• Establish project quality, risk management, controls, reporting, and documentation requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance consistency, quality, and outcomes.
• Oversee project kickoffs, mobilization, and implementation of project-specific procedures.
• Partner with executives to establish delivery strategies, reporting, controls, and communication protocols.
• Ensure projects are properly staffed, organized, and equipped for success.
• Lead PMIS evaluation, implementation, and optimization of delivery technologies.
• Develop enterprise dashboards and early warning indicators for leadership visibility.
