Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a VP, Professional Services Category & Sourcing Lead for a 6-month Engagement based in Boston. The candidate will drive end-to-end sourcing and category strategy across Professional Services such as Consulting, HR, Marketing, and Legal.

Responsibilities include hands-on sourcing, contract reviews, RFx management, and large- scale negotiations, while contributing to P&L and cost savings. The role reports to Global Head of Professional Services Procurement within GPS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of strategic sourcing experience across professional services.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Proven ability to drive savings and negotiate large contracts.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on sourcing to deliver deals and motivate a wider team.
• Complete contract reviews and mark-ups of commercials and terms.
• Coordinate, prepare and manage RFx/competitive bids.
• Perform direct negotiations of large and complex agreements.
• Support use of preferred suppliers, pricing, rate-cards, discounts, and buying channels.
• Heavily contribute to P&L and cost savings for the team.
• Ensure client satisfaction with service, cycle time, and strategic value-add.
• Align and execute on the category strategy plan.
