Job summary
BNY is seeking a Vice President, Production Services Infrastructure Support to join our SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING, Production Services team in Lake Mary, Florida. You will advance proactive engineering and lead reliability initiatives across mission-critical Oracle databases in 24x7 production environments.
The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, strong SRE practices, and hands-on skills in Oracle 19c, RAC, Exadata, OEM, AppDynamics and Splunk, plus scripting
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience in large-scale production environments.
- Advanced Oracle performance diagnostics using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Monitoring, SQL Plan Management and OEM.
- Experience managing database reliability, capacity planning, incident response, RCA, and service restoration in 24x7 production environments.
- Experience leveraging monitoring/observability platforms such as OEM, AppDynamics, Splunk, or equivalent.
- Driving shift-left engineering practices and reliability-by-design initiatives.
- Nice to have: scripting/automation with Shell, Python, SQL; GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen reliability and stability by implementing SRE practices and proactive platform improvements.
- Lead DB triage and resolution for production issues in 24x7 environments with rapid troubleshooting and restoration.
- Drive operational excellence with SLIs/SLOs, observability, automation, and capacity planning.
