Job summary

Ares Management is seeking an experienced Vice President to join the Middle Office team in New York. You will oversee end-to-end private credit transactions, funding, and settlement, ensuring accurate data and timely execution.

The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years in investment operations supporting credit or alternatives, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage third-party providers, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of investment operations experience supporting credit, private markets, or alternative investment strategies.
• Strong understanding of private credit and alternative investment products (bank loans, direct lending, structured credit).
• Experience leading teams, managing third-party providers, and partnering with senior stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of private credit transactions across Ares’ global platform, including deal closings, funding, settlement, and wire processing.
• Oversee trade/position booking, data integrity, and cash/position reconciliations throughout the lifecycle.
• Partner with Deal Teams during structuring, closings, fundings, amendments, and restructurings to ensure readiness.
• Develop partnerships across Investment Ops, Legal, Compliance, Accounting, Treasury, and Investor Relations to enable execution and issue resolution.
• Drive process improvements and operating model enhancements to scale with volumes and complexity.
