Job summary

PartnerRe, based in Stamford, CT, seeks a seasoned pricing actuary to partner with the US MGA Insurance Programs Underwriting Team. You will lead pricing analysis, develop pricing models, and ensure pricing reflects all relevant information across underwriting, claims and reserving.

The role requires 7–10 years of pricing experience, a Bachelor's Degree, and ACAS/FCAS designation, with strong communication and analytical skills.

• US MGA Insurance pricing or reinsurance pricing experience preferred.

Job Summary

The position is embedded in the Worldwide Pricing & Analytics team, which is part of the Group Actuarial Office.

You will be based in the Stamford office, which is responsible for pricing US business.

About The Role

Your core responsibility is to be a Business Partner for the US MGA Insurance Programs Underwriting Team by providing profitability analysis of markets, segments, and/or individual transactions. In this role you will:

• Lead pricing analysis for US MGA Insurance Programs business, including portfolio review and large case pricing review
• Provide subject matter and functional expertise to internal/external stakeholders for the above segment
• Lead projects to refine key assumptions related to the above segment, including developing an insurance pricing model over time
• Liaise with Underwriting, Claims, Reserving, and the Managing Actuary to ensure that pricing reflects all relevant information
• Assist in monitoring the portfolio and underlying risks, including MI dashboarding
• Utilize PartnerRe actuarial models and understand the underlying actuarial theory
• Participate on a variety of ad-hoc project teams
• Outside of your core responsibilities, you will be occasionally providing actuarial analysis in support of other functions with the Group Actuarial & Risk Office, which could include Reserving, Risk, or non-US reinsurance Pricing

Work Experience And Qualifications

You have gained 7 to 10 years of work experience; some experience in US MGA Insurance pricing and/or reinsurance pricing preferred.

You hold a Bachelor's Degree and ACAS or FCAS designation.
