Job summary

We're partnering with a leading cell therapy biotech to hire a VP, Head of Preclinical Development. This leadership role will drive global preclinical strategy across an expanding oncology pipeline, leading programs from candidate nomination through IND submission.

The role requires a PhD with 15+ years of preclinical drug development experience and direct CAR-T/cell therapy expertise, with a strong pharmacology background. Will lead US/China teams in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• PhD required with 15+ years in preclinical drug development.
• Direct CAR-T/cell therapy experience required.
• Strong background in in vitro and in vivo pharmacology and IND-enabling studies.
• Experience supporting viral vector technologies within cell therapy.
• Oncology and/or immunology expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global preclinical development and IND-enabling strategy.
• Oversee in vitro/in vivo pharmacology, immunology, and nonclinical development.
• Drive regulatory interactions and global IND submissions.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across the US and China.
• Partner cross-functionally to advance pipeline programs into the clinic.
