Legend Biotech seeks a visionary Vice President, Head of Preclinical Development, based in Somerset, NJ, to lead in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, toxicology, and GLP programs across the global pipeline. This senior role requires building a high-performing team and serving as the internal authority for preclinical science in regulatory, partnership, and publication contexts.

Qualifications

• PhD in pharmacology, toxicology, immunology, cell biology, or closely related field.
• Minimum 15 years in preclinical drug development with at least 5 years in senior leadership exposing IND-enabling programs.
• Experience designing and overseeing GLP toxicology studies and IND submissions.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute global preclinical development strategy across all programs.
• Serve as internal scientific authority for in vitro/in vivo pharmacology and toxicology.
• Lead preclinical science for modalities including lentiviral vector-based CAR-T and gene-modified cells.
• Integrate PK/PD/safety data into narratives to inform clinical strategy and regulatory submissions.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing Preclinical Development team.
