Job summary

Goldman Sachs Asset Management seeks a Vice President for Portfolio Control Reconciliations in Dallas, responsible for ensuring accurate books across GSAM and risk counterparties, driving timely account onboarding, portfolio accounting, cash management, and client reporting.

You will collaborate with portfolio managers and operations teams to maintain accurate NAV and books of records, while managing risk and improving controls.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in Operations and/or Financial Services, preferably Asset Management.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus.
• Ability to lead across team members and drive assignments to completion.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written; ability to influence.
• Track team performance and identify improvements to close gaps.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, NAV/Fund Accounting.
• Experience with Private Credit and Alternatives product suites.
• In-depth knowledge of bank loan products and their lifecycle.
• Familiarity with portfolio accounting systems (InvestOne) and related tooling.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage daily processes and activities in portfolio control.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and operations teams to ensure accurate NAV and reconciliations.
• Investigate position differences between GSAM books and admin/ABOR systems.
• Lead the team daily; respond to queries per SLA.
• Work with functions to resolve issues impacting positions, cash, NAV and performance.
• Assess new accounting platform solutions for data integrity and functionality.
• Identify efficiencies to mitigate risk and drive scale in operations.
• Develop accounting standards to meet business needs.
• Build knowledge of accounting across the division and oversee custodian relations.
• Keep abreast of industry trends to improve controls and client experience.
