Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Asset Management division seeks a Portfolio Control Reconciliations lead to ensure accuracy of GSAM and Risk books. You will oversee onboarding, portfolio accounting, cash management, and client reporting across a broad product range including equities, fixed income, currency, and derivatives.

You will collaborate with portfolio managers, data teams, and external admins to maintain data integrity, manage risk, and drive scalable processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field; MBA a plus.
• 8–10 years in Operations or Financial Services, preferably Asset Management.
• Ability to lead across teams and drive assignments to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence and impact.
• Track team performance and morale; identify areas for improvement.
• In-depth knowledge of NAV, Fund Accounting, and accounting principles.
• Experience with Private Credit and Alternatives product suites.
• Familiarity with portfolio accounting systems, e.g., InvestOne.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage daily processes and activities.
• Partner with portfolio managers and operation teams to ensure accurate holdings and NAV.
• Reconcile positions between GSAM and Admin/Accounting agents.
• Oversee team daily; respond to queries per SLA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues affecting positions, cash, and NAV.
• Assess new accounting platforms for capabilities and data integrity.
• Identify efficiencies to reduce manual work and drive scale.
• Develop and maintain accounting standards across the division.
• Gain deep knowledge of accounting across GSAM and related funds.
• Oversee custodians and fund administrators to maximize value delivery.
