Job summary

TD Bank is seeking a Vice President in Securities Operational Risk Management (TD Securities ORM) to provide independent Second Line oversight of risk activities across complex initiatives. The role focuses on risk assessments, issue management, governance, and change risk controls within a large capital markets environment.

The incumbent will collaborate with businesses and control functions, influence governance outcomes, and drive alignment to the ORM framework and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management, risk governance, audit, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, including risk identification, assessment, and issue management.
• Knowledge of banking or capital markets environment preferred.
• Strong executive communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide effective challenge across a matrixed environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of, or exposure to, Copilot and Generative AI tools, with the ability to leverage them to enhance productivity, support analysis, and identify associated operational risk, governance, and control considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent Second Line oversight of First Line risk activities, including risk assessments and remediation.
• Lead oversight and enhancement of ORM programs such as Issues Management, Operational Resiliency, and Change Risk Assessments.
• Provide credible challenge on strategic initiatives, new business activity, and significant change programs.
• Build partnerships across business and control functions to promote ORM frameworks and risk appetite.
