Job summary

proteanTecs is seeking an experienced and strategic VP of Worldwide Field Engineering to lead our global Field Engineering organization end-to-end, coordinating regional Application Engineering leaders and driving the technical customer journey across accounts worldwide.

You will partner with the CTO, R&D, and Sales to drive adoption, integration, and expansion of our semiconductor solutions throughout the silicon development lifecycle, travel globally, and build trusted executive relationships

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry in field engineering, applications engineering, customer engineering, or related roles.
• Proven ability to lead and scale global technical organizations across geographies.
• Hands-on foundation in semiconductor design flows—synthesis, place & route, STA, SoC/ASIC.
• Experience with semiconductor IP and/or EDA solutions and integration into customer environments.
• Proven track record managing executive-level relationships with leading semiconductor companies.
• Strong combination of technical depth, customer orientation, business acumen, and executive presence.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and scale a worldwide Field Engineering organization across territories.
• Own the end-to-end technical customer journey across accounts globally.
• Oversee integration of IPs and EDA tools into customer silicon design flows (RTL, synthesis, P&R, STA).
• Develop trusted relationships with senior technical and executive stakeholders at strategic customers.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development on strategic accounts and design wins.
• Lead customer engagements, technical evaluations, PoCs, and enablement activities.
• Drive technical review meetings to understand challenges and opportunities for innovation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Program Management to translate feedback into new features.

We are looking for an experienced and strategic VP of Worldwide Field Engineering who combines deep semiconductor expertise with strong executive presence and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with leading companies.

In this role, you will lead our global Field Engineering organization end-to-end - managing the regional Application Engineering leaders globally - and own the technical customer journey across our accounts worldwide. You will act as a key strategic partner in driving business growth, shaping organizational culture, and managing our most strategic customer relationships. You will work in ongoing partnership with our CTO, R&D leadership, and Sales organization to drive successful adoption, integration, and expansion of our solutions throughout the silicon development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with significant experience in Field Engineering, Applications Engineering, Customer Engineering, or a related technical customer-facing role.
• Proven experience leading and scaling global technical organizations through multiple layers of management, across geographies.
• Strong, hands-on technical foundation in semiconductor design and physical design flows - synthesis, place & route, STA, SoC/ASIC - at a level that enables direct, credible engagement with customer design teams, not only organizational oversight.
• Experience with semiconductor IP and/or EDA solutions and their integration into customer design environments.
• Proven track record of managing strategic, executive-level relationships with leading semiconductor companies.
• Exceptional combination of technical depth, customer orientation, business acumen, and executive presence - able to operate as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, R&D, Product Management, Program Management, and senior customer stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing worldwide Field Engineering organization, managing regional and functional Application Engineering leaders across multiple territories, supporting silicon design, verification, and implementation activities.
• Own the end-to-end technical customer journey across accounts globally, from initial engagement and evaluation through IP integration, deployment, and ongoing adoption.
• Oversee the integration of our IPs and related EDA tools into customer silicon design flows, including RTL, synthesis, place & route, and static timing analysis.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior technical and executive stakeholders at strategic customers.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development on strategic accounts, technical sales cycles, design wins, and business expansion opportunities.
• Lead customer engagements, technical evaluations, PoCs, and enablement activities, positioning our solutions and driving business growth.
• Drive technical review meetings with customers to understand their technical challenges, requirements, and opportunities for innovation.
• Partner closely with senior leadership across R&D, Product Management, and Program Management to translate customer feedback and market needs into new features, products, and solutions.
