Job summary

VOA UPNY seeks a Vice President of Programs to provide executive leadership for Children’s Center and VOA housing programs, strengthening trauma-informed, person-centered practice and coaching Program Directors for leadership continuity.

You will partner with the SVP of Operations to improve participant outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across service lines and collaboration with community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work required; a closely related human services degree may be considered when accompanied by substantial professional social work experience.
• Master’s degree in social work or a related clinical or human services field preferred.
• Professional social work background required; clinical licensure preferred when relevant to the scope of assigned programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of assigned programs using trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Program Directors across service lines.
• Ensure program directors meet regulatory, contractual, licensing, and financial responsibilities.
• Partner with compliance and SVP of Operations to set measurable objectives for service quality and outcomes.
• Represent VOA UPNY with participants, families, funders, regulators, and partners.
