Job summary

Gill Foundation in Denver, CO seeks a Vice President of Programs to develop and execute strategy, lead a team of program officers, and cultivate external relationships to advance LGBT equality.

Reporting to the CEO, you will drive breakthrough investment opportunities, manage program budgets, and align grants with the foundation’s priorities, while modeling nimbleness, innovation, and learning across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven strategy development experience in philanthropy, non-profit, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and coaching of a multi-person programs team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage budgets, grants, and program outcomes with attention to compliance.
• Track record of driving innovative, measurable impact in social impact initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategy to advance LGBT equality through the foundation’s priorities.
• Lead a team of program officers and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
• Oversee the grant docket process and ensure grants align with annual work plans and outcomes.
• Cultivate external partnerships and relationships to support the foundation’s priorities.
• Travel as necessary to establish and maintain strategic relationships and learn from field insights.
• Provide regular reporting and content to inform the board and senior leadership.
