Job summary

Avera Health seeks a dynamic Vice President of Procurement and Contracting to shape the strategic vision and execution of enterprise-wide procurement. This role drives cost optimization, supply chain resilience, and compliance, partnering with clinical and operational teams to support patient care and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Master's in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field, or Juris Doctorate (JD).
• 4–6 years experience in negotiations, contracting, sourcing, vendor management.
• 10+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all contracting processes, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and Avera standards.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with clinical, legal, compliance, risk, finance and operations leaders.
• Drive standardization and cost efficiency across products and services.
• Oversee strategic contract negotiations and supplier governance with KPIs and audits.
• Lead digital transformation of procurement through technologies and analytics.
