Qualifications

• PharmD or B.Pharm from an accredited institution.
• Track 2: Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years in high-volume warehouse or mail-order ops with 3+ years multi-site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct multi-site leadership of Hebron, KY facility and remote sites in OH and AZ.
• Oversee mail-order and closed-door operations, inventory, and fulfillment.
• Partner with hub programs, patient services, and 3PL partners for BI, prior authorizations, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA regulations.
• Direct budgets, labor planning, costs, and KPI-driven improvements.

Location: Hebron, KY (On-site with up to 10% travel)

Role Summary

The VP of Pharmacy Operations leads and oversees multi-site pharmacy operations, driving clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Headquartered in Hebron, KY, this executive leadership role directly manages local operations while exercising operational oversight over remote closed-door and mail-order facility sites in Ohio and Arizona.

The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in closed-door pharmacy workflows, mail-order operations, and collaborative manufacturer/patient hub services.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Site Leadership: Direct operational oversight of the primary Hebron, KY facility alongside remote supervision of sites in Ohio and Arizona.
• Mail-Order & Closed-Door Operations: Optimize order fulfillment, dispensing accuracy, inventory management, and logistics tailored to closed-door and mail-service environments.
• Hub & Client Operations: Partner closely with manufacturer hub programs, patient support services, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to streamline benefit investigation, prior authorizations, and patient onboarding.
• Compliance & Partner Collaboration: Collaborate directly with local Pharmacists-in-Charge (PICs) and Quality Assurance teams to ensure operational workflows strictly comply with Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA regulations.
• KPI & Financial Management: Direct operational budgets, labor planning, carrier cost controls, and fulfillment metrics (units per hour, cost per shipment, accuracy rates). Utilize data-driven insights to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), continuous improvement programs, and error-prevention protocols across all facilities.
• Travel Requirement: Quarterly to inspect remote operations in Ohio and Arizona, build team alignment, and meet key hub/client stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education

• Track 1 (Pharmacy): Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (RPh) from an accredited institution.
• Track 2 (Operations/Supply Chain): Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates possessing either qualification track are eligible.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in high-volume warehouse management, distribution, 3PL, or mail-order operations, with 3+ years in multi-site operational leadership.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in closed-door distribution, pharma/healthcare logistics, regulated supply chain, or collaborative hub models is preferred.
• The ideal candidate understands matrixed organizational structures, strict regulatory environments, and high-throughput fulfillment.

Technical Skills

• Expertise with WMS/ERP platforms, fulfillment automation, labor optimization tools, and carrier management systems.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or WMS-native dashboards), and the ability to leverage metrics to drive strategic operational decisions.
