Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the VP of Pharmacy Business Operations in Yakima, WA. This 1.0 FTE role covers scheduling, document processing, travel coordination, and minute taking for meetings.

Responsibilities include confidentiality, filing systems, and cross-coverage. Requires an associate degree or higher and at least 3 years of complex office experience; travel may be required. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent experience or certificate from an accredited technical school required
  • 3 years' experience with complex office responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of secretarial skills including answering phones, taking messages, typing, composition, scheduling, transcribing, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; ability to create operational reports with these programs
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to periodically travel to and attend off-site meetings
  • Ability to operate all standard office machines and equipment
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions

  • Compose written correspondence and reports

  • Coordinate office support and cross-coverage as needed
  • Monitor and coordinate purchasing and maintenance needsMaintain professional relationships with stakeholders and serve as a liaison for the VP
  • Provide training to VP direct reports, administrative support, and others as necessary
  • Ensure confidentiality of information and system data
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Highlights:
  • 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
  • $21.44-$26.27/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
