Boost Insurance, a dynamic and rapidly expanding insurtech Managing General Agency, is seeking a visionary Vice President of Operations to spearhead day-to-day operations, across multiple verticals. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Operational Leadership & Optimization:
    • Lead and manage the Operations function, providing strategic direction, leadership, and support to ensure processes are streamlined, scalable, and cost-effective.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies that drive business growth, enhance productivity, and align with the organization’s long-term objectives.
    • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Process Optimization & Innovation:
    • Identify and drive opportunities for operational improvement through process automation, technology adoption, and system enhancements.
    • Collaborate with department managers to design and execute new processes, systems, and tools to optimize end-to-end operational workflow.
  • Cross-Functional Project Management:
    • Support cross-functional projects, coordinating with departments across the organization to ensure alignment with business goals and the clearance of obstacles.
    • Manage resources and priorities, balancing long-term strategic projects with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Operational Performance Tracking:
    • Establish, track, and report on key operational metrics, including OKRs and KPIs, to drive accountability and performance at all levels.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to address operational gaps.
    • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on operational performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
    • Implement and monitor risk management processes to proactively address potential challenges and minimize disruptions.
    • Develop contingency plans and lead efforts during times of operational challenges.
  • Industry Best Practices:
    • Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to continuously elevate the organization’s operations.
    • Share knowledge and insights with the executive team to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role, with a track record of driving operational improvements, scaling teams, and managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Expertise in process optimization, automation, and technology implementation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to develop and interpret key metrics and performance data.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to engage teams across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in risk management and compliance within an operational context.
  • A forward-thinking approach to operational excellence, with a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, with a preference of 3+ years in the insurance industry
  • Experience working within an MGA or Brokerage space
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience and willingness to learn AI tooling to optimize operational processes

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

  • The pay range is estimated to be between $120,000 - $180,000 USD per year for NYC residents.
    • When determining the wage range for this role, several factors are considered, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure & certifications, and other business needs. Geographic differentials associated with the location where the position may be filled have not been adjusted in the disclosed range estimate. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, each case is analyzed appropriately.
