Job summary

Versique Executive, Professional & Interim Recruiting seeks a VP of Operations in Minnesota to lead the engineering, construction, and customer support disciplines, directing strategic planning and daily operations.

You will drive scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and supplier relationships to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to spec, while building scalable processes and teams for growth and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Proven construction and operations leader delivering large-scale projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Experience scaling teams, business units, and operations, preferably within electrical contracting, renewable energy, solar, or related industries.
  • Skilled in developing operational strategies that drive growth, performance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Build and reinforce efficient operational processes to streamline project management, scheduling/forecasting, procurement, and budgeting.
  • Develop and implement regular project reporting and analytics for the management team on company performance, project performance, expectations, and trends.
  • Lead relationships with supply chain, engineering, and specialty contracting partners.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve profitability and capital efficiency.
  • Participate in strategic planning and expansion initiatives for the company, including direct leadership and responsibility for new initiatives where appropriate.

Job description

As an integral member of the senior leadership team for our growing entrepreneurial business, the VP of Operations will be challenged to lead across the full spectrum of our company -- from high-level strategic planning to day-to-day operational activities. Your team will ensure that our projects are consistently delivered on schedule, on budget, and in accordance with our quality control requirements. This role will be the primary point of contact for our supply chain, engineering, and specialty contracting partners.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Operations role will lead our engineering, construction, and customer support disciplines, with an emphasis on process and talent development.

As we plan for ongoing growth in our business, we have identified the need for a strong operational leader to develop and support the teams building our projects. Our company aspires to deliver best-in-class construction quality and customer experience, and the ideal candidate will bring high standards to the role backed by the discipline and humility to achieve them.

Salary Range: Total compensation may exceed $300K (base + bonus)
