Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of data center operations management experience leading teams.
• Experience with P&L management and negotiating with vendors for contracts.
• Deep knowledge of data center infrastructure: power, cooling, networking, controls, security.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

This role is pivotal for overseeing the strategic direction and daily operations of data center facilities, ensuring high standards of reliability, security, and service delivery. The organization specializes in colocation data center management and is focused on continuous operational improvements.

Position Overview for the VP of Operations:

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of data center facilities, focusing on efficiency, security, and service quality.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for facility growth and improvement.
• Drive operational excellence through process optimization, vendor negotiations, and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage teams and coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to support organizational goals.

Requirements for the VP of Operations:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in data center operations management, with a successful record of leading teams.
• Experience with P&L management and negotiating with vendors to contract signature.
• In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, HVAC systems, networking technologies, controls, and physical security protocols.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and management best practices.
