Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead a growing 3PL and warehousing operation in California. You will oversee warehouse operations, customer service, transportation coordination, and financial execution, driving efficiency and high service levels for a diverse retail and consumer goods client base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or 3PL environments.
• Proven experience managing large warehouse operations and multi-level teams.
• Experience overseeing customer service, warehouse operations, transportation coordination, and financial processes.
• Strong understanding of 3PL operations, fulfillment, inventory management, and supply chain execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead all warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution.
• Oversee office and warehouse personnel, including supervisors, customer service representatives, and floor operations teams.
• Manage workforce planning, staffing, organizational development, and succession planning initiatives.
• Drive operational performance through KPI tracking, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own customer relationships, ensuring high levels of service and responsiveness for key retail and distribution accounts.
• Partner with clients, vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to optimize logistics performance.
• Oversee billing, invoicing, account management, and operational financial performance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth and profitability.
• Establish best practices across warehousing, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and fulfillment functions.
• Mentor and develop management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Support executive leadership with reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success building, developing, and leading high-performing operations teams.
• Experience overseeing customer service, warehouse operations, transportation coordination, and financial processes.
• Strong understanding of 3PL operations, fulfillment, inventory management, and supply chain execution.
• Experience managing customer relationships across retail, consumer goods, or general merchandise industries.
• Proven ability to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, billing, reporting, and performance management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and support continued company growth.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
