Position Summary
Hotel Equities is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Accounts. This role is responsible for leading and managing relationships with key franchise accounts, specifically within major legacy hotel brands. The position involves close collaboration with brand marketing teams and real estate owners to ensure successful marketing strategies and the achievement of revenue goals. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and proven experience in franchise brand marketing.
The VP of Marketing reports to: EVP, Marketing
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for key franchise accounts, aligning with brand standards and owner objectives.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with franchise brand marketing teams and real estate owners. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Marketing Planning & Execution: Lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, advertising, public relations, and promotions. Oversee budget management and performance tracking for each account.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key marketing metrics, providing regular performance reports to brand partners and ownership groups. Identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Brand Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities adhere to franchise brand guidelines and standards. Stay up-to-date on brand updates and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with senior leaders and related teams across the enterprise, including revenue & distribution, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals dedicated to supporting strategic accounts.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, the competitive landscape, and opportunities for enhancing marketing effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B and strategic account management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing key accounts and achieving revenue goals.
- Strong understanding of major hotel brands, particularly Marriott and Hilton.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build consensus.
