Job summary

Thresholds is seeking a Vice President of Information Security & Risk to lead the execution and ongoing improvement of our information security and risk management program in Chicago. You will partner with IT leadership to protect Thresholds’ information and cloud data, drive secure transformation, and serve as trusted advisor to the CIO and agency leaders.

The role requires strong technical leadership, risk-based decision making, and the ability to translate security strategy into actionable

Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity, data protection, or IT risk management.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading teams or major security/risk management programs.
• Hands-on experience with security operations, incident response, risk assessments, or compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day information security operations, including security posture and event monitoring, threat and vulnerability identification, policy violation, access control and attack surface monitoring.
• Manages remediation of security issues and the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for security operations.
• Develops dashboards of security operations KPIs for IT leadership.
• Supports secure implementation and operation of applications, cloud services, infrastructure, and platforms.
• Performs and coordinates risk reviews of applications and digital systems and their configurations.
