Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Vice President Full Stack Developer in Whippany, NJ to own and deliver high-performance trading platforms. You will work closely with front-office stakeholders to design scalable, low-latency systems using Angular/TypeScript on the front end and Java/Spring on the back end, with emphasis on real-time data visualization and automation.

You will lead efforts in UI performance engineering, real-time messaging (WebSocket, Kafka, Solace), and RESTful APIs, while driving CI/CD

Qualifications

Experience with Angular/TypeScript in front-office or trading environments.
Proficient in Java and Spring for scalable, low-latency systems.
Strong focus on UI performance and real-time data visualization.
Experience implementing RESTful APIs with performance and security in mind.
Automation, CI/CD and quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain high-performance front-office applications in a trading environment.
Design scalable, low-latency back-end services using Java/Spring.
Implement real-time data streaming and visualization for large datasets.
Collaborate with Traders, Sales and Product to translate requirements into UX.
Contribute to test automation and CI/CD processes.
