Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Vice President of Construction in Illinois to oversee end-to-end delivery of development projects. You will lead planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handoff, collaborating with Sales, Operations, Acquisitions, Engineering, and Finance to meet schedule and budget goals.

You will manage risks, ensure safety, and drive standards across regions, with a focus on large-scale, mission-critical data center programs and strong cross-functional

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive construction experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale, mission-critical projects.
• Proven experience delivering high-value construction projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong experience managing large CAPEX programs and complex contractor relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery across all phases from planning and design through commissioning and handoff.
• Oversee construction operations across multiple regions and concurrent projects.
• Drive schedule, cost, quality, and safety performance across the project portfolio.
• Establish and implement construction standards, processes, and best practices.
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing construction and project management teams.
• Own CAPEX budgets, forecasting, financial controls, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
