Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. is seeking a visionary Vice President of Engineering & Operations in Plano, TX to define and deliver enterprise cloud, data, and infrastructure capabilities.

You will report to the CITO and lead cross-functional teams across cloud engineering, platform engineering, and operations. You will shape the operating model, drive workforce transformation, and build scalable, high-availability systems while partnering with data, security, and HR to elevate technology and business

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years in a senior executive or Chief Engineering and Operations-level role.
• Proven success building and scaling enterprise data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Deep expertise in data governance, cloud modernization, and FinOps practices.
• Strong ability to operate in fast-paced, outcomes-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year engineering, operations, and cloud strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
• Shape operating model to improve agility, scalability, and maturity.
• Lead workforce transformation to uplift technical skills and team effectiveness.
• Oversee enterprise cloud strategy, workload placement, modernization, and migration roadmaps.
• Build out the Operations & Command Center with proactive monitoring and resilience.
• Implement modern DevOps, SRE, automation, and continuous delivery practices.
