Job summary

University Health in Texas is seeking a visionary Vice President of Cardiovascular Services to lead the Heart & Vascular Service Line across care settings. The role drives strategic growth, operational excellence, and high-quality patient outcomes within a nationally recognized academic health system.

The VP will oversee LVAD and Heart Transplant programs, collaborate with physician leaders, and guide program development across multiple hospitals to expand access and impact.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas (or eligible for Texas licensure).
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible executive leadership experience in acute care or integrated health system.
• Experience as a hospital administrator or senior hospital executive with cardiovascular service line responsibilities.
• Extensive leadership overseeing LVAD and Heart Transplant programs.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing a comprehensive cardiovascular service line strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
• Driving strategic growth, physician alignment, and market expansion.
• Leading innovation and transformation across inpatient and ambulatory cardiovascular services.
• Ensuring operational excellence, financial stewardship, and sustainable program growth.
• Advancing quality outcomes, patient safety, patient experience, and regulatory compliance.
• Building partnerships with executive leadership, physicians, and community stakeholders to position University Health as regional cardiovascular leader.
