Base pay range

$250,000.00/yr - $280,000.00/yr

Aventis Solutions is proud to partner with a transformative technology firm operating at the intersection of finance, healthcare, and real estate to reignite their CITO: technology and software engineering division. We are now leading the search for a Head / Vice President of AI Technology (VP of AI) to architect, scale, and operationalize AI infrastructure and engineering capabilities across the enterprise.

Salary: $250,000–$280,000 + bonuses + private healthcare + long-term equity incentives

Leadership Scope: Reporting into the CIO, you will serve as the executive lead for AI engineering and technical enablement, managing senior-level engineers with significant support and financial backing to scale quickly.

Key Skills, Attributes, and Technologies Desired:

• AI Engineering Leadership: Proven success in leading the development and deployment of data engineering, software engineering or more advanced AI/ML development at scale, from prototype to production, across cloud-native environments.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of how AI and data-driven technologies create business value. Able to align technical solutions with P&L impact, product-market fit, and customer success metrics.
• ML Infrastructure & Ops: Deep understanding of machine learning infrastructure, including MLOps, model lifecycle automation, and scalable model deployment frameworks.
• Advanced Modelling & Data Science: Understanding and/or technical capability with advanced ML techniques (deep learning, NLP, forecasting, optimisation), plus Python-based ML stacks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Data Platform Engineering: Familiarity with real-time data pipelines and modern data architecture, including Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Spark and Databricks. Experience designing AI-ready data ecosystems and versioned feature stores is a strong plus.
• Cloud-Native AI Architecture: Strong technical experience building scalable systems using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Preference for hybrid and distributed deployments using containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Generative AI Applications: Working knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and GenAI frameworks (e.g. LangChain, OpenAI, Claude, etc.). Experience applying generative models to real-world use cases like document parsing, workflow automation, or predictive chat interfaces.
• AI & Data Governance & Risk Management: Comfort with establishing engineering guardrails for responsible AI, ensuring model interpretability, compliance (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA), and alignment with ethical standards.
• Cross-Sector Innovation: Exposure to complex industries such as finance, healthcare, or real estate, where AI is used to power decisions, automate operations, or personalise experiences.
• Technical Communication & Team Building: Ability to communicate engineering decisions to senior stakeholders. You foster a culture of experimentation, delivery excellence, and talent development across high-performing teams.
