Job summary

Algolia, Inc. is seeking a VP of Product Design to lead the organization that owns the Application Layer—surfaces where developers, merchandisers, and business teams configure and optimize search and AI experiences.

Qualifications

15+ years in product design and 6+ years leading design organizations (managers of managers) at B2B SaaS or developer-platforms.
Demonstrated AI-native design leadership with shipped AI/ML-powered experiences (conversational, agentic, or generative).
Technical depth with front-end fundamentals, APIs, and understanding of LLM-based systems behaviors and UI constraints.

Responsibilities

Own product design vision and strategy for the entire application experience for developers and enterprise users.
Define AI design standards for trust, transparency, and human-in-the-loop controls.
Lead Satellite Design System as a product with governance, adoption metrics, and AI-native evolution.
Build and scale a design organization: designers, engineers, researchers, and content designers, including hiring and coaching.
Maintain a high quality bar and partner with Product, Engineering & GTM at the executive level.
