Job summary

HP is seeking a Vice President of Apps within the CTO, Software to lead a global team of engineers responsible for software stacks powering HP applications and services. The role focuses on AI-native platforms, design, and operations, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional leadership and delivering measurable business value.

The VP will drive a shift toward AI-enabled development, collaborate with product and technology stakeholders, and report to the CTO, Software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 8+ years in senior people management.
• Preferably 4+ years leading global software engineering teams serving multiple internal customers.
• Demonstrated success building high-performing, diverse engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large global team of software engineers and leaders across consumer and enterprise products.
• Drive an AI-native paradigm across the full software development lifecycle.
• Shift from manual coding to AI-enabled design and automated workflows.
• Partner with stakeholders to implement a true platform engineering producer–consumer model.
• Accountable to internal customers for product development, platform consumption, feature delivery, and operations.
