Job summary

Mastercard seeks a visionary and hands-on VP of Software Engineering to build and scale the Decision Stream platform. You will partner with Product, Architecture, AI, and Platform Engineering to drive technology strategy, architecture, and execution at scale.

You will lead through technical excellence, influence standards, recruit and mentor top talent, and ensure the platform delivers secure, reliable real-time decisions for a global ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams building large-scale distributed platforms.
• Strong hands-on background in cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, data platforms, and event-driven systems.
• Track record delivering highly available, resilient, and mission-critical systems at scale.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.

• Foster a culture of ownership, technical curiosity, accountability, and collaboration.
• Build strong technical leadership across engineering teams.
• Partner with Product and business stakeholders to align engineering investments with customer value.
• Drive execution from concept through production adoption.
