Job summary

Peregrine Technologies in San Francisco seeks a VP of Financial Planning & Analysis to build the financial engine for its next growth phase, including long-range modeling, the annual operating plan, forecasting, and the analyses behind major investments.

You will scale and develop a high-performance team, report to the CFO, and partner with leaders across the business to drive strategic decisions and pricing, packaging changes, and international expansion readiness.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive finance experience at an investment bank, private equity, or top-tier consulting firm, followed by strategic finance/FP&A leadership at a high-growth tech company.
• Experience owning company-wide annual planning including cross-functional alignment and timely delivery.
• Exceptional financial modeling capability and data fluency; comfortable pulling data and working in SQL or equivalent.
• Fluency in complex revenue models, including subscription, consumption, and professional services, with impact on gross margin and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the multi-year model and a driver-based financial roadmap for leadership decisions.
• Design and lead the company-wide annual operating plan with department heads and driver-based budgets.
• Establish a monthly budget vs. actual cadence and diagnose variance drivers.
• Develop forecasting for multi-segment GTM across public-sector and commercial enterprises.
• Analyze unit economics: margins, costs, CAC, payback by segment, and retention.
• Own financial reporting and narrative for CFO/Board and support future financings and IPO readiness.
• Hire and develop the FP&A team and automate low-value tasks with AI.
