Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks a Vice President of Advancement to lead the foundation’s fundraising program and strategic donor relations. You will build and manage a comprehensive advancement plan, cultivate major donors, and guide the team and systems that sustain giving over time.

You will oversee portfolio management, data-driven donor insights, and tax-credit scholarship initiatives, while partnering with the Executive Director and the Board to meet annual fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Seven-plus years of progressive advancement experience, including success securing five- and six-figure gifts and leading fundraising teams.
• Experience with state or federal tax credit programs or ability to master a technical giving vehicle quickly.
• Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge NXT or a comparable CRM, including pipeline reporting.
• Willingness to work occasional evening and weekend hours for donor events and board meetings.

Responsibilities

• Personally manage a portfolio of 75–100 donors and prospects, including individuals, corporations, and tax credit supporters, with emphasis on gifts of $25,000 and above.
• Grow participation in Missouri and federal tax credit scholarship programs as a revenue channel.
• Secure corporate sponsorships, including Gala sponsorships, as part of an integrated giving strategy.
