Job summary

8020 Consulting is seeking an Accounting Professional (Manager or above) to lead our Los Angeles team. The role blends deep accounting expertise with construction-industry experience and strong ERP capabilities.

You will advise CFOs and executives, steer the accounting function, and drive system and process transformations to support growth without requiring heavy travel. This is a full-time consulting leadership role in LA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience at management level
• Significant construction-industry experience required
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and job costing
• Experience leading accounting teams and partnering with executives
• Proven ERP implementations and system upgrade experience
• CPA or equivalent designation preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to CFOs, Controllers, and executive leadership
• Lead accounting function and systems transformation to support growth
• Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Drive process improvements across multi-entity/projects
• Manage ERP implementations and data migrations
• Collaborate with operations to improve financial visibility and decisions
