Parts Town LLC is seeking a VP of Accounting for North American Distribution to lead the accounting organization across multiple sites. You will own close, reporting, and SOX controls, ensuring accurate balance sheets, margins, and cost of goods sold in US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license and 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership.
• Experience in distribution/wholesale/retail or inventory-intensive business.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site/multi-entity operations in North America.
• Deep US GAAP expertise, esp. inventory valuation, cost accounting, supplier programs, revenue recognition, working capital.
• Experience implementing or enhancing SOX/internal controls.
• Experience with ERP implementations and finance transformations.
• Strong communicator with senior executives and cross-functional partners.
• Hands-on leader with ability to build teams in a fast-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations for North American distribution activities across multiple sites and entities.
• Own the balance sheet and income statement accuracy with disciplined reviews and reconciliations.
• Establish consistent accounting practices across sites; address statutory and tax requirements in US/Canada; support Mexico as applicable.
• Provide executive-level visibility into accounting risks, close performance, and emerging issues.
• Drive close, reporting, and audits; manage external/internal auditor interactions and remediation.
• Design and maintain SOX controls; document processes and risk assessments; continuous improvement for distribution cycles.
• Lead ERP implementations, finance transformations, and process standardization; partner with operations to improve margin transparency.
• Develop and nurture a high-performing distribution accounting organization; build relationships with operating leaders.
