Job summary

Santander Holdings USA Inc. is seeking a senior Murex MX.3 Application Developer in New York to lead strategic MX.3 initiatives across Global Markets. You will own front-to-back enhancements in Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations, and partner with Trading, Risk, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.

The role focuses on platform upgrades, production releases, and regulatory initiatives, with oversight of performance, resiliency, and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5 years of experience in information technology, application development, or capital markets technology.
• 3 years hands-on experience implementing, configuring, developing, and supporting Murex MX.3.
• Strong experience across Front Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Operations, Back Office, and/or Datamart modules.
• Solid understanding of OTC derivatives, FX, fixed income, equities, securities financing, and money markets.
• Experience with MxML Exchange, market data, static data, workflows, pricing, simulation, and reporting.
• Experience integrating Murex with enterprise platforms using APIs, messaging, and middleware technologies.
• Experience with Agile delivery, SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
• Experience leading platform modernization, cloud adoption initiatives, and strategic technology transformation.
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred and Murex certification or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• We lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, and support of strategic Murex MX.3 initiatives for Santander CIB Global Markets.
• We own enhancements across Front Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Operations, and Back Office domains.
• We design and configure Murex capabilities such as workflows, pricing, simulation, trade lifecycle, market data, static data, datamarts, and reporting.
• We partner with Trading, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Architecture teams to convert business needs into scalable technology solutions.
• We lead platform upgrades, migrations, production releases, environment strategy, and vendor coordination with Murex Professional Services.
• We drive resiliency, performance tuning, production stability, operational excellence, and incident resolution.
• We establish engineering standards, perform design and code reviews, mentor developers, and promote continuous improvement.
• We support regulatory and strategic initiatives affecting Global Markets, including risk and finance transformation programs.
• We manage multiple concurrent initiatives while handling delivery risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
• We communicate effectively and support interactions with the trade floor.

Must have:

• We require 5 years of experience in information technology, application development, or capital markets technology.
