Job summary

Athena Group Advisors, a private multi-family office, seeks a Vice President of Accounting in New York to lead end-to-end accounting for principals, trusts, and investment vehicles. You will manage capital accounts, consolidate statements, and coordinate closely with tax and finance teams, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, multi-entity experience, and a meticulous, problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA required; CFP, CFA, or MST are a plus but not required.
• Experience with GAAP and multi-entity accounting across entities, trusts & SPVs.
• Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual capital accounts, distributions, and contributions for principals.
• Track and reconcile balance sheets across illiquid and alternative assets.
• Prepare reporting packages reflecting each principal’s entity structure.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close for a multi-entity family office.
• Coordinate with tax, finance, and investments to reflect activity in the books.
