We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Marketing to lead and elevate our marketing efforts. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that strengthens brand awareness, generates qualified leads, and supports business growth - particularly within the CMMC market.
Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Vice President of Marketing will work closely with Sales and other cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with revenue goals. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, operational discipline, and a hands-on approach to execution. This role is remote, with occasional travel required for internal meetings and industry events.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and own the company's marketing vision, strategy, and execution plan in alignment with revenue targets and business goals.
- Lead integrated demand generation campaigns across digital, content, and event marketing to drive qualified leads and nurture prospects through the funnel.
- Define and refine the company's brand positioning to ensure it reflects our value to the DIB and resonates with key stakeholders.
- Use data and analytics to measure performance, optimize campaigns, and report on marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure marketing programs are tightly aligned with go-to-market plans.
- Oversee the creation of high-impact content including white papers, case studies, thought leadership pieces, and customer success stories.
- Manage the marketing budget and vendor relationships to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Lead and grow a high-performing marketing team; provide mentorship and ensure alignment across functions.
- Represent the company at key industry events and forums to expand visibility and thought leadership.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in developing and executing high-performance lead generation strategies in the IT services or defense/government contracting space.
- Strong understanding of the Defense Industrial Base, CMMC requirements, and federal procurement processes.
- Highly analytical and results-oriented, with hands-on experience using marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead both strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus.
