Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc is seeking a VP of Manufacturing to lead two manufacturing directors across seven plants in the United States. The role oversees Health and Safety, Continuous Improvement and Quality, and contributes to strategic decisions for performance, innovation, and sustainable development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy a strategic manufacturing plan aligned to business strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure products are manufactured on schedule within quality and cost standards.
  • Ensure plant design, workflow, and assembly maximize efficiency.
  • Forecast future facility, equipment, and workforce needs; ensure capacity meets requirements.
  • Plan, source, produce, and deliver to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets; guide freight management when needed.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress and timelines.
  • Build relationships across levels and departments; influence stakeholders.
  • Lead continuous process improvement and Lean initiatives to reduce costs and rejects.
  • Support skills development and leadership growth across the organization.

Position Summary

The VP, Manufacturing reports to the SVP of Manufacturing. This individual will lead the work of two manufacturing directors across our beverage facilities within the United States. Our network is comprised of 7 plants and approximately 1000 employees. This individual will also oversee Health and Safety, Continuous Improvement and Quality. As a senior member of the operations management team, this role will participate in the development of strategies and priorities for performance improvement, technological and product innovation, and management of the sustainable development program. This individual will be key to fostering an operational excellence culture at all levels of the organization and will lead future growth and transformation of Lassonde Pappas operations, including evolving our manufacturing and strengthening all points of our supply chain.

Primary Responsibilities Include
  • Developing and deploying a strategic manufacturing plan aligned to overall business strategy and operational objectives
  • Develop and implement policies and programs to ensure products are manufactured within schedule and according to established quality and cost standards.
  • Ensures plant design, workflow, and assembly methods maximize operational efficiency.
  • Prepares forecasts regarding future facility, equipment, and workforce needs, and ensures manufacturing capacity is sufficient to meet business requirements.
  • Responsible for planning, sourcing, production, and delivery to ensure product quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met, collaborating and at times guiding freight management
  • Reviewing analyses of cost, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives and provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, timelines, and critical items
  • Creating and maintaining relationships across the company with all levels of internal and/or external parties including but not limited to clinical, global planning, marketing, manufacturing, regulatory, customers, and other key stakeholders
  • Leveraging cultural and individual differences amongst parties to maximize success and champion team decisions
  • Ensuring a safe and health-oriented work environment for all. Building a culture where customer service and quality are at the heart of everyday business
  • Lead continuous process improvement, reduction of rejects, efficiency of production lines, reduction of manufacturing costs in a Lean Manufacturing environment, use of key performance indicators and benchmarking.
  • Collaborating with the talent management team in creating and supporting skills development programs in an approach focused on engaging employees at all levels.
  • Develop future leaders by providing resources and support to develop skills and capabilities through unique development opportunities
  • Consistently demonstrating operational excellence and the balance of calculated risk-taking
  • Leveraging breadth of knowledge in influencing senior leaders to adopt new methods and technologies that define and drive the overall business strategy in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ensuring the company's leadership in the implementation and implementation of sustainable development programs (strategies, meetings, monitoring, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Education And Experience

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.

FREQUENT

sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.

OCCASIONAL

squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
