Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a visionary VP to lead the Loitering Munitions Systems Business Unit in Southern California. The role reports to the SVP, and is responsible for growth, profitability, and strategic execution across a high-impact portfolio supporting U.S. and allied security objectives.

The position requires deep defense and DoD procurement knowledge, senior leadership experience, and a track record of managing complex, high-growth P&L businesses. Travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent).
• 15+ years in defense/aerospace/technology with loitering munitions or related systems.
• 7–10+ years of people leadership including senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic vision and long-term growth roadmap for LMS BU.
• Own Full P&L and drive revenue, margin, cash, and investments.
• Deliver Annual Operating Plan with growth and disciplined cost management.
• Lead product strategy and roadmap for loitering munitions portfolio.
• Oversee development, production, and sustainment programs with focus on cost, schedule, quality.
