Pacific Life is seeking a VP, Inforce Management - Life to lead the Life Insurance Inforce portfolio with a strategic, risk-aware mindset. The role combines analytics, product interaction, and executive-level decision support across UL, IUL, VUL, Term, and COLI/BOLI blocks.

The position emphasizes forward-looking insights, leadership development, and partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize profitability and capital efficiency. Relocation support is available; remote travel may occur.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• FSA strongly preferred; ASA with leadership experience may be considered.
• MBA or advanced business degree preferred but not required.
• Deep understanding of Life insurance products and Inforce dynamics.
• Strong actuarial foundation with ability to connect analysis to business outcomes.
• Proven ability to drive decisions.
• Executive-level communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Highly consultative, with confidence to challenge assumptions and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial and risk narrative for Life Insurance Inforce across blocks.
• Drive profitability sustainability, capital efficiency, and reinsurance strategy.
• Influence pricing actions, assumption governance, and portfolio management decisions.
• Frame tradeoffs between growth, earnings stability, capital efficiency, and risk.
• Serve as the actuarial advisor on Life Inforce performance and trends.
• Lead mortality, lapse, persistency, and earnings attribution analyses.
• Oversee stress testing, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysis.
• Identify trends early and translate into actionable recommendations.
• Lead policy management activities aligning consumer and enterprise expectations.
• Develop talent and elevate leadership discussions with concise storytelling.
